It is normal that a course at PXL University does not align completely with the objectives of your home institution. During an international study, focus should be on intercultural competencies, firsthand knowledge of the world, …  

Be open to search and find the connection between the courses you take at PXL University and the approach in your home institution, but also be willing to embrace different approaches and transform them yourself into usefull knowledge for your home context.

During the first two weeks of the semester, you take all the courses of the subjects you enrolled in on your learning agreement. You go to all the classes.

If you consider changing a subject after those two weeks, you talk to your lecturer in real live (no mail). During this conversation, you very clearly communicate your concerns and what might help you to take up the subject or feel more comfortable with it.

PXL University is a university of applied sciences. This means classes usually have a direct link to practice. Futhermore, all subjects have a component of distance learning. This means, pre-tasks (before coming to class) are to be completed and after class some processing tasks might be expected.

Most classes are thaught in relatively small groups (20-25 students) with lots of interaction (with cold calling or you answer after raising your hand). If you are not used to this, please inform your lecturer beforehand.
